Very nice Phở, I tried chicken breast with rice noodles, liked it! They have many sauce options at the table. Chicken comes without skin and that's the way I like it :)
The best Pho in San Jose! This is their second location, which is just as good as their 1st location in Milpitas. In my opinion it's a bit better because it's not as crowded as the 1st. The Pho is amazing, the broth is flavorful, good clean cuts of meat. I have never ever been to either of the Pho Mai locations & have left disappointed or unsatisfied like I have at other places. Great customer service here, the woman who is always here is behind the counter is so kind. Will always come back!
TLDR: BB2 and BB6 worth it and minimized plastic. Decline the chilis if you avoid spicy cuz they give a lot! Accepts cards.
On searching for a tocilog burrito, I happened upon this place and was pleasantly surprised at them also offering Vietnamese sandwiches, soup noodle, and boba. Took wall menu photos and mental notes for next time.
Around 1:30pm Tues Mar 2, I called ahead for BB2 (but with only tocino as the meat and no longanisa) and BB6 (Vietnamese grilled pork). They said they accept cash and credit card, and in-store when they swiped with Square I saw Apple Pay stickers.
The burritos were hefty! Plenty of nicely flavored tender pork chunks with some fat, egg cooked perfectly just between med/hard and even some crispy white edges, lettuce, tomatoes, raw sweet onions, and yellow rice (not strong garlic). It was my 1st time so was surprised by the generous jalapeños diced inside and sliced in the bag with lemon and 2 chili sauces. Started to feel sleepy after half of one burrito.
Will be back for sure, esp since if I’m eating meat then I want as little plastic packaging as possible. This fits the bill since aluminum wrapping can be wiped+recycled and no plastic utensils needed!
