I have never been one to exercise regularly, but discovering Bar, has changed that. I have been a regular at the studio for 7 months, attending 3-4 sessions per week. I enjoy the challenge of the exercise routines and the results are visible. I have better posture, leaner legs and stronger abs. The studio is inviting and beautifully appointed. The class schedule, flexible. The instructors are friendly, energetic, enthusiastic, and very obviously, very well trained. Their class choreography is consistent, well executed, upbeat, and fun. Being a member of The Bar Method in Scarsdale, is great therapy for the body and the soul.
I have tried a number of fitness classes but it wasn’t until I went to Bar Method in Scarsdale that I knew I had found the perfect workout! I started at the beginning of the year and have had classes with many of the early morning Bar Express instructors, who make waking before the sun is up so worthwhile—they are helpful by correcting me and are always providing a variety of exercises, challenge options, praise and encouragement (and they always greet me by name)! The classes have a positive and energizing atmosphere and the studio is beautiful and elegant. Bar Express classes are a great start to the day in that I get the same exercises as in Bar Method but in 45 minutes, leaving me ample time to get ready for the work day. I have seen significant changes since coming here—I have a stronger core, better posture and balance, leaner muscles, which result in a happier attitude and I now go 4-5 times a week for the 6am weekday or 8am Saturday classes. I heartily recommend this to anyone looking for a well rounded workout in a friendly environment!
I started Bar Method at the Scarsdale location in October 2019 after buying a Groupon for an unlimited month and I plan on keeping it up. Not only is the schedule amazing, offering classes early in the morning as well as in the evening, but everyone is just so friendly and welcoming. Since I started I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my body, my strength, and stamina. I typically struggle staying motivated when it comes to working out but since I started I’ve tried to attend 3-4 classes a week. These classes are low impact but also challenging making me want to do better each time I go. I really appreciate how helpful the instructors are and how they focus on proper form to avoid injury. Also I usually hate waking up early but Sara G. and Sarah C. are such amazing instructors that I actually want to attend their 7am or 8am classes! Every instructor I’ve tried has been great/helpful and I highly recommend Bar Method Scarsdale!
