It’s always interesting to try sushi in the Pacific Northwest because you just never know as I’ve had sushi from LA and the original fish market, Tsukiji in Tokyo. This place was good we had a variety of dishes focusing on nigiri (sushi on rice). We also ordered the Rumi Roll, it was good. The one thing I noticed though was the sushi rice was not room temperature but rather cold and it didn’t have that subtle sweetness. Don’t know if it was because we had it for lunch time vs dinner but it was a little disappointing. The sushi and rice proportion was spot on. We also ordered the fatty sushi’s like the toros, salmon, and yellow tail ones. The spicy tuna crispy rice was good also, interesting that they used clarified butter for the crispy rice part.
I’ve been here several times over the years and have always had a great experience!
Their service and food is incredible, and the atmosphere is perfect for a date night or even a lunch by yourself.
Their 12 piece Sashimi Assortment is a great value and some of the best I’ve ever had. A must try.
The best server ever, thank you ☺️ The Kurodai were INCREDIBLE. I've had a lot of sushi in North Seattle and this is some of the best so far- delicate, well seasoned, unbelievably fresh.
The rolls were hearty- well worth the money. an impeccable mixture of skill and sourcing.

My wife and I gave this spot a try while staying at the Ballard Hotel. Their service was fantastic and the food was great. We ordered 4 different rolls. It was right before my birthday too, so I got a nice dessert also.
Ambiance is great and even has an upper level for greater privacy. However, we didn't get to experience it this time around. I would gladly try this sushi restaurant again.
I love some raw fish, but my wife is strictly vegetarian. So we rarely get to indulge in one of my favorite foods together. Moshi Moshi was perfect for both of us. Nit only was their standard sushi amazing, but the vegetarian options were equally as good. My wife and I both had a blast. Service was also amazing. It's easily one of our new favorite dinner spots.
Sashimi was pricey but really really fresh! Rolls were delicious and creative. Black cod was good but within expectation. The vibe and service was satisfactory and I’d recommend for friends gathering or a date night!
A beautiful location on Ballard Avenue, the ambiance is intimate and very scenic. The sushi is fantastic! Fresh, high quality, and very reasonably priced. The service is always attentive.
We had a great experience at Moshi Moshi. The Sushi was fresh and full of flavor. I got 2 rolls myself, my kid got the rainbow roll, and my wife got Edamame, gyoza and a roll. Everything was excellent. I'd go again.
This place has a great vibe and the service was awesome. Shishito peppers was great and the green goddess sushi was good.
Staff Rad and Brittany were great. Rad REALLY knew his stuff and the menu. Enjoyed the atmosphere. My companion stated, “I have had sushi this good at three times the price.”
I will return.
Not that they need my review but this place is fantastic. The staff is so well trained everyone is on top of their game. The food is excellent and as a picky eater I gotta admit I ate way more greens than I've ever eaten before. The restaurant itself is very nice and the layout is cozy even on these recent cold days. I had tonkatsu that was fried perfectly, with a salad covered in the most delicious dressing I've ever had on a salad. We also got the cucumber house salad (very refreshing and a great portion for two) and some green bean tempura that was done very well. All the servers were fantastic, I love getting checked up on by different servers but with good pacing, if that makes sense. They don't buzz around you or interrupt your meal. They just know when to come in. Fantastic restaurant, highly recommend.
Arrived at 2:30 and they serve until 3:00 - was welcomed which was really nice. Sit anywhere you like, also really nice not to hear a section was closed because it was close to turnover lunch to dinner time. Small menu, thinly sliced sushi, but the Salmon was excellent. The rice with black nori bits and roe was beautiful. Great Sapporo on tap. Oshinko had a nice kick. The roll, Moshi Moshi, looked beautiful but was not my favorite, a little bland really. One beer, one pickled appetizer, four thin slices of salmon and a roll with tip was $60. Waitstaff was very nice.
Got the platter for two and it was amazing. Our waiter was super awesome and knew the Japanese names of all the fish - and there were many. The fish was so tender, mild, and delicious. Ambiance was also very intimate so made for a wonderful date night with my wife. We will be back for a future celebratory occasion.
Came here with some girlfriends for dinner. Sushi tasted great and didn’t take too long to come out. They also have some uniquely flavored cocktails! Cute little spot to spend with friends. Would recommend making a reservation especially on the weekends as it can get really busy.
5 stars! Great service! Knowledgeable staff, fresh fish, and the rolls were great. Make a reservation!
Enjoyed the lunch bento boxes on a rare sunny day in late winter
What a nice surprise to see a extensive craft cocktail menu
Tried Toki Highball; not bad, but could be better
Authentic clean Japanese palette
Modern reformed industrial ambience instilled with a dash of Nippon taste
The sushi rolls are very good with real sushi rice and fresh ingredients
Chicken marshy is extremely good
All other dishes are above average
Will come back again and try more sushi’s and izacaya dishes
Came here for our anniversary dinner, there’s no many appetizing vegetarian rolls options but they were able to accommodate our order. I was looking forward to the sunomono salad but it was very blend. We got complementary dessert so that was nice! Service is friendly and fast!
Very friendly staff and great food! Do lunch there for shozzle
