It’s always interesting to try sushi in the Pacific Northwest because you just never know as I’ve had sushi from LA and the original fish market, Tsukiji in Tokyo. This place was good we had a variety of dishes focusing on nigiri (sushi on rice). We also ordered the Rumi Roll, it was good. The one thing I noticed though was the sushi rice was not room temperature but rather cold and it didn’t have that subtle sweetness. Don’t know if it was because we had it for lunch time vs dinner but it was a little disappointing. The sushi and rice proportion was spot on. We also ordered the fatty sushi’s like the toros, salmon, and yellow tail ones. The spicy tuna crispy rice was good also, interesting that they used clarified butter for the crispy rice part.
I’ve been here several times over the years and have always had a great experience!
Their service and food is incredible, and the atmosphere is perfect for a date night or even a lunch by yourself.
Their 12 piece Sashimi Assortment is a great value and some of the best I’ve ever had. A must try.
The best server ever, thank you ☺️ The Kurodai were INCREDIBLE. I've had a lot of sushi in North Seattle and this is some of the best so far- delicate, well seasoned, unbelievably fresh.
The rolls were hearty- well worth the money. an impeccable mixture of skill and sourcing.
