My daughter moved up here last year to Springfield from Southern Calif. She told me she couldn't find a good Mexican Food Restaurant. Reason: Food to bland. When I travel, it seems Mexican food is made to the Locals taste buds. Having a house in Baja California, Mexico, we know what great real Mexican Food is. Here's the trick. Just call up the restaurant and ask them to make up some salsa, or sauces to your liking. if spicy is what you're looking for. We contacted the owner Anna and Chef Francisco and asked for just a bit more spice. I asked for a fire roasted chile salsa, and it ranked right up there as top notch. As written by others, decor, staff, cleanliness, margaritas, and overall experience was excellent. Restaurant was patronized by locals who obviously enjoy the food. I highly recommend this one. Just ask in advance if you want something special , and they will eagerly prepare it for you.....Enjoy
Pretty good stuff. Great variety on the menu...chips and salsa were good as were the margaritas. The refried beans were outstanding. I'm not used to the filling of a chili relleno not being inside of it, but that was my only complaint. The shrimp with bacon was terrific.
I love mexican cuisine and this place ranks at the top of the list. The staff and service was first rate.
