If you love home cooked Mexican food, you'll love this little place. Irma herself will seat you, take your order and serve you. She is so sweet. Came in for lunch on a Friday and had the one enchilada and one taco (comes with rice and beans) lunch special for a little over $10 and it was delicious and definitely filling! Also, there is something about the coffee there that is just 😍 Make sure to get there early enough as they close at 2pm!
The food was simple, but good. I had a chicken burrito and a beef burrito, and the fresh taste of both of those meats were both clearly evident. In many Mexican restaurants, the flavor of the meat is completely masked or covered up by the sauces or spices added to the burrito, but not so here. This tasted much more like homemade instead of a place that is trying to hide their substandard, core ingredients behind a saucey wall. This is something that felt like a mom made for her adult kids who popped in for a visit at lunchtime.
A legendary landmark for great Mexican cuisine. Was fortunate enough to grow from a toddler experiencing what good and flavorful food taste like with my Grandmother.💯✔
