It's a small family owned business that makes delicious Chinese food. The place really is small lol but I love coming here! I always come here for catering. Their fried chicken is HUGE. The ribs? Sweet and savory. Some of their fried foods might be on the greasy side, tho. I hope they never leave.
We have been driving by this place for three years since starting our food truck journey. Last night we wanted something comforting and flavorful, and stopped for some garlic chicken and fried asparagus.
Today, we made another stop to try the rest of the food. Scallops with shrimp and rice, Spare ribs, fried rice, chow mein and the spare ribs with black bean sauce.
The best fried garlic chicken ever, crispy outside, flavor throughout the chicken, hints of five spice and sweetness. Their fried asparagus was fresh and it melts in your mouth.
Spare ribs are by far the best we have had, scallops dish was perfectly cooked and large portion. We loved that the chow mein was not greasy like other places, as well as balanced with the bean sprouts to noodle ratio.
John and mama gave us the best service as well.
Over all we have become fans of Golden Rice Bowl and recommend it as a must stop.
The food can be great here but they have a bit of a consistency problem. But when it's good it's really good! Take out only right now.
