Best filipino restaurant i've been to in Tacoma (Pierce County I should say). I would definely go back again. Price is not an issue food taste is exactly what i am looking for (feel like home) compare to other restaurant.
Ilocano style!. Filipino Ilocano cuisine is a rare occurence amongst the Tagalog-style eateries. What i adore about Maresol is there is always a vegetable dish and their food isn't greasy. They tend to cook on the light side, but always keep a couple or more vegetable dishes and soupy entrees in the Ilocano tradition.
The only other place that approximates this restaurant would be Kambingan in Waipahu, HI, which serves more ethnic veggie dishes due to the availability of local tropical produce.
I've been away from the NW for several years now, but whenever I have the chance to visit, I never fail to drop by and have a dish or two and say hi to Kuya Roger and Ate Sol
If you’re looking for some good Filipino food- this is the place to go!
They had various dishes and couldn’t decide which to get.
The gentlemen serving us was a little rude but did give us generous portions.
I’d recommend you try some of their food if you’ve never tried Filipino food :)
