I would still go for the Momo's across the street, but this is a solid choice for fancier pizza. I tried the Sherwood and the toppings, cheese, and crust were are all flavorful and different from what you would find anywhere else, but the oily pesto sauce overwhelmed everything in flavor and dripping oil. Prepare to eat with a fork and knife if you get the pesto sauce. Next time I would definitely try a red sauce. I am hesitant to commit to Northside Pies and have my heart broken because they are in a cursed location where multiple restaurants have gone out of business in the past few years.
Everything from this place is amazing: apps, salads, calzones, pizzas! And all with their unique, tasty spin - LOVE IT! I recommend the feta bruschetta, ANY of the specialty pizzas, and the bacon wrapped jalapeños! 😈
I finally got to this place and BOY was it worth it! For those who don't know, these guys are also the owners for Gaines Street Pies and Midtown Pies. I've long maintained that Midtown is better than Gaines...but now I have a wonderful problem because I'm wondering if Northside may be the best of the 3. Took My Daughter for her birthday cause she craves pizza like a lion craves gazelles and they were phenomenal! Service was on point. Restaurant was spotless. They turned it to the L.S.U game for me. Even gave me two free beers because the one I wanted wasn't available even though my waitress told me it was. The food was OUTSTANDING!!! I'll actually be going back the very next time I want pizza to check out their other options.
Pizza was delicious, I tried the White Sword but with artichokes instead of pineapple (I don't like pineapple on pizza LOL), and our server was happy to change the order. She apologized that the first one was overcooked and it had to be remade, so that was okay. The garlic bread was delicious too, and everyone in my group loved the pizza. I have not tried the calzones but was told they are great too. I am a fan of Momo's but this is definitely a close competitor and offers a full bar and televisions for sports fans. I will definitely be back.
Good pizza, nice weekend drink specials, free slice with purchase of a drink on weekend eves. Love the garlic knots and cheese bread too! Nice folks all around! Great job to all!
Brought to you by the Gaines Street Pies guys, this is a very nice place. The pizzas are always fresh and have really great ingredients If you really want to break out of the Pizza rut, then Any of their 3 locations is the place to be.

There are a couple of food items I could eat on a daily basis, and still never become bored or tired of them. One of those items is pizza, and when my friend Thomas suggested we meet up for lunch, we decided to visit Northside Pies. The restaurant is located in Tallahassee at 1355 Market Street in the same plaza that is also home to a Mexican restaurant and a sub shop.
Been there twice now...pizza incredibly good. Better than Momo's and a bit quieter...at least you can talk to your dining partner! The pizza with fried green tomatoes is my new favorite, at least until I try the next kind! Great full bar, and, to me, their best asset is a really friendly and helpful waitstaff.
Excellent service, affordable and the pizza was delicious. I have to say better than Momo's as far as the pizza. Will definitely going back.

Tried out the new location tonight-and it's our new favorite of the 3! Unlike the other two it is a sit down restaurant and also has a full liquor bar! Some of the same options, but lots of new pies and appetizers! The fried green tomatoes and the Guy on a Buffalo part 3 were DELICIOUS and we will definitely have both again!!! Oh and the service was FANTASTIC!!!!

Excellent pizza and a very nice selection of beer. Some have mentioned price in their reviews. The price is very fair and commensurate with (and well-worth) the quality of the product. If you want Pizza Hut...go to Pizza Hut...or one of those national chains... If you want really great hand-made pizza...head to Northside and you will be very pleased.
Their cheese pizza is New York style and tastes great. They offer a gluten free option as well and it tastes wonderful. We received really good service during our initial visit. Will be going back again!

A casual laid back place. I agree that it was a little pricey. A couple of the folks we were with had coupons so that helped a little I guess. No complaints about what we had and the very sweet shorter dark haired gal with glasses taking the orders and clearing the tables was as nice as she could be and more importantly laughed at all my dumb jokes. I plan to be back and might bring more money next time to try some of the interesting specialty pies that I saw. Very nice place I'll be back! !
One of the best pizza places in Tallahassee. In combination, they have one of the best beer selections in a pizza joint. Great staff. It is always inviting when I am there.
Good! If you're looking for classic thin crust, but crispy, quality topped, New York style pizza, then go here. 4 stars because it was a bit pricey.
Meet there every 2 weeks with a business group & the meeting space they give us is workable but the food is reason enough to stop by. Excellent lunch menu & all of it is good.
