Very friendly people who happen to make delectable food! Definitely one of the best Ethiopian restaurants I've been to. The menu is not expansive, but the selection is good (a couple of more types of Ethiopian beer would be nice) and the pricing is pretty reasonable.
I think the dining room could use some more Ethiopian decor, maybe some lower mood lighting and some partitioning, like booths or alcoves. I'm just not a fan of the completely open layout when it comes to restaurants. It doesn't seem very immersive to me and I like to have some seclusion when I'm eating. They have a stage for live performances, so I'm guessing that's why it's laid out the way it is.
Anyway, overall it was an enjoyable experience. Thanks!
A great and authentic local business! Athena, our hostess, was so personable and easy to talk too. She made us feel very welcomed and was very accommodating.
We got the sambusa, kitfo, and beef tibs which came with the injera platter. The portion sizes were generous and the food was flavorful and perfectly salted and seasoned. I'm glad to have found a place that serves amazing ethiopian food near me.
Even though, I never grew up eating Ethiopian food. Eating mitmita's food gives me the same homey, mom and pop feeling as eating my mom's chicken noodle soup.
I highly recommend that you try this recommend. I will be bringing my friends to try it.
This place is a hidden treasure! The food here was so authentic and delicious. This is not the first Ethiopian restaurant I've tried, but it is certainly the best! The service was excellent and the server was so kind and attentive. It felt like I was in someone's home from the attention to the food to the warm welcome we were received with. It is so delicious. I very highly recommend this place to anyone considering to go. So happy with my time here.
