UPDATE at Ray & Rural on a Thursday night, 11-7-19: The bus girl was the highlight of my visit. So sweet and the friendliest manner! Meatballs we're just as good as ever. The Chalkboard special with the mushrooms, walnuts & roasted veggies was DRIPPING in too much oil. And Mista Salad wasn't nearly as fresh. Rusty lettuce. Uck. But still 5 stars for the best meatballs in Arizona. ORIGINAL REVIEW. Always excellent service. Fun and friendly. Fresh made sangria. Best meatballs and gravy in town. I crave the Mista salad all the time. And the amazing, chewy bread with olive oil and balsamic. Mouthwatering. So many customizable flavor combos with the Chalkboard specials. The flat iron steak was crispy but medium rare perfect on the inside. Mushroom gorgonzola veggie topping made it a perfect super low carb entree full of flavor. And did I mention the best service? (11-7-19 update... Rural & Ray service not nearly as naturally friendly as the Surprise location.)

Been to Babbo twice. The spaghetti with meatballs was surprisingly good. It tasted really fresh and on Mondays and Tuesdays you can get this dish for $6.99.. The three cheese Mac and cheese pasta is my favorite so far with the blend of cheeses with bacon and sausage it's very tasty. Also I noticed while eating here, out of the 50 customers that walked in the door 40 we're to go orders. This place is perfect for to go orders and will most likely do this myself as the service was lacking for dinning in.
