It's a must stop for ALL fans of M*A*S*H, Max Klinger's hometown of Toledo, OH. Toledo has a few one of a kind things to see and this restaurant tops them all. It serves Hungarian sausage hot dogs on their own famous bun. they have novel dishes like chili sundaes and fried pickles, along with anything you can think of to put on a hot-dog! Now here's the reason thousands of people have come through these doors for decades, celebrities of all walks of life have signed hot-dog buns and they are mounted in cases all over the restaurant!. you could spend hours looking at them all! In the back dining area there are life-size cut-outs of all the mash gang and a spot right in middle for you to sit and a get a unique souvenir. There is also a gift shop with some cool gifts for under $5.. I can say that we had a great time, now I must say the reason I did not mention 'how' the food was is because I do not eat anything they serve, I ate there about 20 years ago and I liked everything I tried, and went back more than once; now however, I do not eat that way as a lifestyle choice, not any dietary restriction. If you do or do not eat what they serve you can have a nice Arnold Palmer and have some fun! They are a great family tradition that Jamie Farr made famous by plugging them on the show in a bit about Klinger's hometown. (Farr's real hometown). The staff is friendly and even went out of their way to see if there was anything I could have off the menu. The manager came over and we had a nice talk with him, great guy. We made up for no food order by buying $59 worth of Tony Packo's memorabilia! Well worth the short drive over the Sky Bridge to Front St. Then right at the next light.
Lived up to expectations. Loved this place food was outstanding and the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. Love the Packo sauce too. I will be back many more times
So historical and easy to choose the people were friendly and will deft make it a point to go back in the future!
