The Museum Cafe, located in The Toledo Museum of Art, is an order at the counter, get your own beverage and then offer a small prayer that you get a competent server. The window table we wanted needed to be cleaned so we got some napkins and took care of that task. We split the Chef's Special ham sandwich. It was a work of art, it came with kettle chips and a crisp dill spear. I had a delicious curried carrot soup. Barc had a lovely creamy chicken soup. The soup came with a small piece of bread and no butter. When she reappeared I mentioned that the kitchen had forgotten to provide butter. I was told I had to ask for it. I said, "May I have butter? Please." A few minutes later she brought a dab of butter in a small plastic container. We shared it using our spoons to spread the butter as our server had disappeared. The Cafe is bright and beautiful with a lot of windows. Ordering was easy from the many interesting choices. I have eaten there many times through the years and will again.
Oh, the coffee that I served my self was excellent.
