Great place to eat. The waiter was very friendly, food was good and good quality and value. Would recommend
First of all, this review is for the MI Grille, which is the same as the Baytown Kitchen (name changed in 2015). I am from Texas and have never been to this part of the country; I am submitting a completely unbiased review in hopes of benefiting other travelers and this restaurant.
To just cut straight to the chase, my wife and I had a wonderful dining experience here. Our server, Scott, was very friendly and took great care of us. I had the half roasted chicken, and the flavor was perfect. It came on a giant bed of red mashed potatoes and gravy, with broccoli on the side. My wife had a giant salad with a grilled chicken breast, and had a bowl of mac-n-cheese flavored with buffalo chicken chunks. In summary, our food portions were very large, and we couldn't have enjoyed the meal more. The fast service and perfectly timed check-ins to refill our drinks was just what you want. We did chat with the waiter, and he explained that they have recently turned over the staff, and they are really trying to focus on the customers and do things the right way. I would say that in our case they far exceeded expectations.
The food generally is more "diner" type of food, so if you are looking to try the latest fancy recipe from a famous chef, don't go here expecting that. But if you are looking for a great meal at a reasonable price, then look no further - highly recommended!
$$ Superb! Immediate, prompt, informative and friendly service. Nothing fancy in decor, but the food was amazing. The price is not bad (but not excellent). However, you get a ton of food. 10/10.
Bottom line: Go here to fuel up and take a quick break.
