I had a girls weekend at Rhode Island and we were looking for a place to eat a good meal. This place blew us out of the water. I don’t really leave reviews but I felt like this place deserved it. Our waitress was great! All the staff were very friendly. The food was delicious!! I am a foodie so I can be very critical but I couldn’t find anything to complain with this place. All I can say is you need to really try this place.
A few years ago, I had the pleasure of dining at Trattoria Romana North and was blown away by the food and service. Today, I finally had the chance to try the Trattoria Romana South location in Wakefield, and I'm happy to report that it was equally impressive.
The atmosphere at Trattoria Romana South is warm and inviting, with a cozy dining room and romantic lighting. Our server, Jeremy, was attentive and knowledgeable, and he made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
To start, we ordered the mussels appetizer special, which was absolutely delicious. The mussels were cooked perfectly and the broth was flavorful and savory. For our main courses, my wife ordered the eggplant Parmesan and I chose the rigatoni al forno. The eggplant Parmesan was massive and perfectly cooked, with a crispy breading and a gooey, melted cheese topping. The rigatoni al forno was also excellent, with perfectly al dente pasta, a rich and flavorful tomato sauce, and homemade meatballs that melted in my mouth.
Overall, our dining experience at Trattoria Romana South was exceptional. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was romantic and inviting. We cannot wait to go back soon!
I sat at the bar and the food was great, the cocktail sauce could of used a bit more horseradish IMO. I had the Bolognese Paprdell and it was outstanding. I'll certainly go back when I am in the area.
