The Only Decent Bakery in Southern RI!. Seriously! I've known Betsy for years, back before she had a bakery of her own and watched her business grow based on one simple approach: QUALITY WORK! She's been around the globe and brought that worldliness back home with her to Sweet Cakes. Her floral baked goods are just sublime, especially her Rose and Elderflower infused muffins and cakes. You can't go wrong with the organic coffee and teas, either. The staff's just great, and it's obvious they're treated well and like the vibe-nice to see their familiar, sunny faces every time I go in!

Sweet cakes produces some top quality baked goods! Their death by chocolate pudding cake (I may have the name wrong, sorry) is simply to die for! Sweet cakes is an authentic bakery; things here are made from scratch, just as they should be. While the coffee here varies a bit, sometimes strong & delicious, sometimes weak & watery, the baked goods never disappoint! You will find various scrumptious muffins made daily, slamming egg sandwiches, crumpets (where else can you find crumpets?!), and many more treats (rugelah) that will leave you wondering when you can plan your next visit to this delightful bakery. Yum indeed.
Gorgeous looking coconut cake, the taste would have been made more interesting if the cream itself were coconut flavoured but overall great tasting cream cake
