As a lover of all things Teddy Roosevelt and good food, this place fits a special niche in my life. I was visiting D.C. for the weekend from Chicago and my friend, knowing my deep appreciation of Theodore Roosevelt (bordering obsession - I dressed up as a Rough Rider for Halloween one time), surprised me by bringing me here. Walking in, you see the decor covered in TR-inspired art and items: oil painting, rifles, and quotes, including faux animal heads bolted to the walls. It was cute without being too much like chatchkys.
The cocktails were amazing and the food, delectable. I had a bourbon cocktail titled "The Trust Buster" that set the tone for the night (my friend, "The Rough Rider", a Rum-based cocktail that she loved.
The menu was extensive, equal parts enticing and inventive. Finding it difficult to make a decision, we ordered everything, or rather a sampling of pretty much everything at the Chef's behest. We made the right decision. With no allergies or changes, the kitchen kept sending us plate after plate of amazing fare to delicious for words. My palate is not so disciplined as to formulate the correct thoughts into words or describe the deliciousness into proper format, suffice it to say that the meals were amazing. The entree was rib tips in a neat glaze with a sweet potato reduction (amazing!), but dessert was another thing. The chef (I can't recall him name, but he was blond and had a beard and was incredible, he represented the house most excellently) came out, clearing our table and placing brown wax paper. He talked to us, describing each of the concoctions and sweet treats he hasn't placing on our table: ice cream, brownies, caramel glaze, gummies, Gas-infused blueberries, and so much more. We mixed and matched, tasting and trying everything, everything spread out over the table so that every spoonful was a treat.
The staff was amazing, patient, funny, and caring. They made a great conversion, gentlemen (and women) to the last. Would not only highly recommend, but looking forward to visiting again on my next visit.
We had the perfect experience here on Christmas day. A cool Teddy Roosevelt themed atmosphere, their buffet was top notch, our server Fifi was amazing and overall I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience here. I would recommend this place to everyone. (especially for Thanksgiving and Christmas, just an overwhelmingly amazing selection. The food is off-the-charts-delicious)

We had a girls brunch to celebrate February birthdays. The place was designed uniquely to Pres. Roosevelt and his life. Got a unique opportunity to experience something different, paired with great company and good food. I would bring my peeps here again!
