Are there twice. The Irish Stew and Fish and Chips are both excellent. I don't usually drink beer, but thought I should give it a try with the stew, so had a Guiness, which was delicious. Sat outside both times- that was very nice and got to enjoy the church bells chiming across the street. Service was friendly with perfect timing throughout the meal.
An amazing ambience, perfectly complemented by a flawless serving of Guiness and a good old delicious Shepherd's pie just topped of my Saturday evening visit to this place. This place has the perfect combination of a casual diner and "hole in the wall" vibes. One of my friends had a Moscow mule, which was great, too. Definitely recommend if you are in DC.
Had 4 different people serve us while we were there, which explains the gaps in service. Overall, they were friendly though.
Shepherd's Pie was very good! Fish part of the "fish and chips" was not crispy. Fries were decent.
Nachos looked good, and while I didn't eat them, the people that did seemed to enjoy them.
I did enjoy all the police patches along the walls.
