The food is not bad, but you are really paying for the servants the atmosphere... and it will be very expensive. Don't get me wrong, the food is ok. But only go here If you are looking for a clam, relaxing place where they will treat you well. If you want the best food - go elsewhere. $60 for my breakfast (pictured).
Very good Brunch at the Jefferson Hotel! Service was very curated and on point. Good selection of wines and excellent juice. We came looking for the lemon ricotta pancakes and they are gone. Banana pancakes (without horrid chocolate, please) were fantastic.
The non meat Croque Monsieur was absolutely delish. Mushrooms and burnt cheese galore. The best I’ve ever had anywhere (including in Paris). The lobster Benedict; so, so. Not bad, not great. My fries were weird. Some were crunchy and others were dry and bland. As if two batches had been mixed. Left the whole serving practically untouched and no question from the server as to why. I did say we were very full though. Still. Ordered two glasses of Far Niente that came already poured (nope!) and the bill stated a different wine name. Confusing.
The pancakes and the Croque Monsieur were so delicious…so was the grapefruit juice; so fresh I’ll give them a solid 4 stars. They should be a five at this price point and especially when they are not that busy. Next time.
Everything tasted amazing! My favorite was the Eggs Benedict (so much so that I didn’t get a picture before eating!). The ambiance was perfect for lunch, and they had lots of lovely food and drink options. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the tea I ordered. It came in a small teapot with only one tea bag, so it tasted super watery- disappointing for a $7 cup of tea. Of course it poured more than one cup, but not worth the taste sacrifice for the price. Aside from that, wonderful experience.
