Soooooooo good! BOTH the food AND the service! It was my first time having West African food. I ordered the Engunsi with chicken & foo foo..YUM! The best parts tho?......
-------------------------
1) They brought out a sample plate of all the food so I could choose.
2) They brought out watermelon for dessert. So perfect on a hot summer day!
The staff/owners made us feel so at home! The food was flavorful and a great portion. Will def be back!!
This was my best friend & I first time here & we enjoyed our experience! I had the "Krain Krain" stew with "Jollof Rice". The food tasted fantastic & was a great serving size. As soon, as we walked in we were greeted with smiles & because this was our first time here we were offered samples of every single dish; which I thought was very generous. The price ranges are not too bad ($14-$17), compared to other African Restaurant establishments. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have good & reasonably priced authentic West African food with good vibes!
I was wondering through DC and saw this restaurant. I’ve never had West African food and thought I would try. I’m a vegetarian, so I asked for a recommendation. They brought me a sample first and it was delicious, so I ordered it.
It was Jollof Rice with Tomato Stew over it. Wow. Sooo good. Also, I had a non-alcoholic ginger beer that was amazing.
Highly recommend this place.
Not fancy, but friendly and the food is great.
