I recently visited North Italia with my mother and had a wonderful experience. I decided to start off with a glass of wine, which was absolutely fantastic. I also ordered the pesto chicken, but instead of chicken, I opted for shrimp. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with the dish. The shrimp in the pasta were not whole, but rather cut up into smaller pieces. Additionally, the pesto sauce was quite overpowering, my pasta was drowning in it and it didn't quite meet my expectations. However, I must mention that I have previously dined at North Italia in Atlanta and had an exceptional experience. So, I believe that this particular visit may have just been an off night, rather than a reflection of the restaurant as a whole.
A new Italian spot that I ran across during restaurant week. We were quickly seated in the front window by the door. The dining area is rather large. Perfect for large groups. They have a nice outside outside area for those diners as well. Service was pretty prompt. We did not have to wait too long for food and drinks despite the crowd. The food was really good. Seasoned and full bodied. Not bland at all. This is a contender and a new go-to for Italian at a reasonable price. The only complaint was the bathroom was dirty. Doesn't look like anyone checked or cleans it for hours. So I will be back to try a few other things on the menu.
Highly recommend! We got several dishes and shared everything. It was all great: eggplant parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, crushed meatball pasta, shrimp scampi appetizer, garlic truffle bread appetizer, arugula avocado salad. Maria was our server and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. Yes everything is very expensive, but it's an experience. The only problem was it smelled like pee where we were sitting not even close to the bathroom. All in all a great restaurant!
