It's hard to beat the $11 lunch special, which includes a nice selection of entrees and a cup of soup. I had Won Ton Soup and Chicken with Garlic Sauce. Close to the Foggy Bottom Metro and a great place to stop for lunch on the way to or from the Vietnam Memorial, especially if you're on a budget.

I have been to Magic Gourd several times this year. The food is authentic, tasty and healthy, with very reasonable price. The Chinese couple who run the restaurant are nice and friendly. If you live or work nearby, I highly recommend it.

Forget Chinatown, we want Magic Gourd! Though there is no way to tell what this little gem is from the outside, it is definitely a diamond... Not in the rough! We stumbled in out of the cold, because it was the only place with an open sign. We found ourselves in a cool Chinese restaurant that smelled like amazing food. We sat down, were immediately taken care of, and our food was served extremely fast. We were extremely pleased at how good the food was, how much of it there was, and how reasonable the price was. We will definitely be returning to our new found Go-To in DC.. Forget Chinatown, we want Magic Gourd!
