Best breakfast treat in town: croissant-pretzel! Great lobby in the Line Hotel to work and hangout.
Fantastic “third wave” coffee and delicious snacks. Because they focus on quality rather than throughout the line moves a little more slowly.
I’ve been trying to make my way through all of the coffee shops in DC, and steadily getting there.
The design and atmosphere is decent, but you will have to take your coffee and sit in the big open lobby that is also occupied by other restaurants and shops. (You also have to be careful where you choose to sit, as some tables belong to certain restaurants.)
Most of the prices are consistent with other coffee shops. But, where I find it hard to agree with the prices is charging $6 for a pour-over coffee. Generally, I only order pour-overs if they are available and after visiting dozens of coffee shops in DC and only paying $4 max for a pour-over, I can’t justify $6. In addition, the coffee beans they use are Counter Culture which isn’t expensive either.
If you come here I only recommend getting one of there espresso based drinks and not the over-priced pour-over.
