Dope spot!!! Great atmosphere!! Reasonable drink prices and great music!

From Canada and I have to say, I am so envious that DC has a place like this. We went here for Sunday brunch and easily spent a few hours. The music is great, food was wonderful and the staff was really nice (especially the male host with glasses ;) ). The only thing I found weird was when I asked the waiter (guy with long dreads) for coffee (it was brunch) he said they didn’t have coffee and when I asked why- he replied: this is a black owned business. I found that a little odd. Maybe black people in DC don’t drink coffee but we certainly do in Canada! Love the small menu as it seems they have mastered each recipe.

Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good music. Enjoyed Brunch! Food was presented very well and delicious. jerk steak & eggs with cajun potatoes was delightful. Here's also a view Shrimp & Grits.
