This is the best place for classic knockwursts (the ones with natural casings so they snap when you bite). The topping bar features more than most other dog joints with sauerkraut and slivered dill pickles waiting for you with the usual chopped onions. The buns are always fresh and the fries are crispy outside and tasty inside.
That interior is decorated with model trains with old fashioned, coin operated displays. It is getting hard to find such places that preserve unique road-side attraction with quality food.
What a fun place. I was looking for a place to grab a bite between Exton and Philly and came across this place. Good reviews elsewhere too. So when I was traveling to Exton (from the midwest) for work, I mentioned it to one of my staff. He said that he heard good things too. The next thing you know, we are on our way for lunch. Quick and friendly service, and good food. We both had the Triple Crown plus an extra Specialty Dog (plain dog). The bacon, chili, and cheese on the Triple Crown were all very good. So was the regular dog. Choices of a couple of mustards, ketchup, sauerkraut, raw and toasted onions, and great pickles to top your dogs with. They also sell other foods and ice cream which seemed to be popular with some of the kids we saw. The atmosphere with the "old vibe" and the trains made it quaint. I'd go back again.
I don’t get to Jimmy John’s often enough. There is nothing like the snap of the casing on one of their “special frankfurters.” Had business in West Chester and made it a point to schedule a Pipin’ Hot stop on the way from Wilmington. 🌭❤️🤗
