On Sunset boulevard on the West Hollywood portion side of things, this Brazilian casual restaurant would be a good place to fix your cravings for stewed slow cook black beans, grilled meats and yummy plantains (they actually also have quite a varied menu like sandwiches and pasta all with a South American or Brazilian twist). I had what’s called power bowl which I thought was a very good portion. Their other entrees from what I saw from other tables were quite huge for you hungry peeps. For pricing it’s fairly typical for this area so not bad. My Feijoada power bowl was $21 and I had a side order of plantain for $6 plus big bottle of sparkling water for another $7. Overall not bad and very yummy happy in my tummy! Hahaha.
Being a former employee almost 30 years ago, I can only tell that Aurelio and Chico really elevated this place. I was able to visit two of the Bossa Nova's restaurants at the Sunset and both had such a amazing food!
Well done guys!
My Brazilian took me, and I loved the dish I ordered. We walked in with no reservation and got seated right away.
It was delicious. The price was decent. Our server was friendly but disappeared for a minute.
My dish: Stroganoff (Most Popular! / Spicy!) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO TRY!
I chose Chicken instead of Beef with French Fries & Plantains | With Mushrooms, Onions, and Pink Sauce. Served With 2 Sides: Rice, Power Grains, Mashed Potatoes, French Fries, Or Plantains.
My friend ordered: ESCONDIDINHO DE CARNE SECA, a Brazilian Casserole, Made With A Combination Of Dried, Salted Meat And Smashed Yucca.
