I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Palihouse Hotel in West Hollywood, where the outstanding service and attention to detail provided by the staff, particularly Elliot the bartender, made for a memorable experience.
Elliot's kindness and extensive knowledge were on full display as he suggested the perfect glass of wine to suit my preferences. When he discovered that I was from Brazil, he effortlessly switched to speaking Portuguese, making me feel incredibly welcome and at ease in my native language.
In addition to Elliot's fantastic service, the hotel was home to a number of other sweet and thoughtful staff members. The bar hostess, in particular, was exceptionally kind and contributed to the warm, inviting atmosphere.
However, my experience with one of the concierges was less than satisfactory. When I inquired about the filming of a TV show on the hotel premises, I was met with a somewhat condescending attitude, leaving me feeling foolish and uncomfortable. This unfortunate interaction stood in stark contrast to the otherwise exemplary service I received from the rest of the staff.
The hotel's retro decor added to the charm of my stay, creating a stylish and unique atmosphere that I thoroughly enjoyed. Despite the minor issue with the concierge, the majority of my stay at the Palihouse Hotel in West Hollywood was marked by great hospitality and a welcoming environment.
I would highly recommend the Palihouse Hotel in West Hollywood to anyone seeking a memorable experience, exceptional service, and a trendy, retro ambiance. Be sure to spend an evening at the bar and enjoy the expertise and warmth of Elliot - you won't be disappointed!
Gorgeous rooms and amenities. Great location, felt very safe. Loved the pool area! Very quirky decor. The staff were all lovely. Would stay here again.
Absolutely loved my stay. Rooms super comfy and great interiors. Pool was a great place to kick back and catch some winter sun. The staff made the trip - especially Cait and Andrii on the front desk. Will def be back. Cathrine
What a beautiful hotel! We had a quick overnight stay during the week after Christmas and we wanted to be close to the Grove and other shopping/restaurant options. This was an excellent hotel and it is impeccably maintained. The attention to detail in the design of the rooms and hotel lobby are gorgeous. We also had breakfast at the restaurant and my husband could not stop talking about how good the avocado toast is!
Last but certainly not least, I want to give a special thanks and high recommendation for the young, African American man working on the valet team (I think his name was Jereel or maybe Dureel?) that helped us on the evening of December 27th. His customer service was EXCELLENT and in the short amount of time we interacted with him, he was so pleasant to us. I hate that I can’t remember his name but if it helps to identify him, he was working the late evening shift of the valet on Tuesday December 27th at about 12midnight.
THANK YOU SO MUCH and we will definitely return next time we are in town.
We were here for an event and had drinks at the bar. It has good seating to lounge and just enjoy the people you're with while noticing others around you. The bartenders were knowledgeable but seemed to get overwhelmed at times when it got busy but that's understandable. The drinks were made with thought and care with generous pours. I would come back another time for drinks or possibly even a meal.
I've only been here for events so I can't say too much on the rooms, but I've always liked this little boutique hotel. Not too main stream but still a local gem, I've always had fun here and the people watching is pretty good. The food isn't bad either. The only bad thing is that parking in the area can be a little tough.
I decided to book a room 15 minutes before I checked in the night before July 4th. Who can't benifit from a staycation at a great hotel in the area. The Palihouse has always been one of my favorite spots and when it's quiet, I like it even more. The room was great, big, had a kitchen, coffee maker, blender, stove top and microwave. A separate sitting area with a lot of room and the bed was super comfortable. My only issue was with the inhabitants of the room next door. They were rowdy and loud from about 2 am through 7 am, when I decided to leave. Hotel staff asked them to be quiet a few times, which was much appreciated. I've never had an issue with noise there before, hence still giving the hotel 5 stars.
I booked a room with Palihouse West Hollywood to treat myself and celebrate in style (I was in LA for the premiere of a movie I worked on). I booked only two nights on the website for the corner suite, as that was all that was available, at the time. It is listed on the website as a two room, corner suite. It looked amazing, with arched windows and funky furniture. I was excited to stay there, based on what I had seen on their website and what I had read on other reviews. When I arrived, Dennis was working the front desk and started to check me in. He was warm, welcoming and patient with me as I sorted out a credit card issue. Realizing it was a special occasion for me (I can only guess… or maybe knowing the room I had was above the lounge and it was a Friday night) he offered me a complimentary upgrade… to the penthouse. It was impeccable and amazing and huge. But the room aside, what made my stay at Palihouse stand out was the level of service from EVERYONE who I encountered there. The wait-staff, the valets (who RAN to the garage and remembered me), Emily, Makeda and Bianca... even the new hire (sorry, I forget his name), the maintenance guy who came to deal with the air conditioning (fixed quickly, with a smile) and everyone else who smiled, were polite, held doors, etc. I asked if it was ok to bring a few friends back after the premiere to celebrate and was not only welcome to do so, but was offered to host my guests on the roof-top terrace as an option. In the end, the hotel was even able and willing to accommodate me for an extra two nights in the suite. The Palihouse is not inexpensive but incredibly good value. It was warm, welcoming and had a vibe about it that made me feel like I could not have picked a better place to call home for my trip to LA. I am already working hard on finding a reason to go back soon! Thank you to everyone who made my stay the best hotel experience I have had.
Hip place in West Hollywood. Went there for an event. The food was great, service was good, wine was...ok. The event space was large and held a good crowd. There was only one guy working valet at the time so that made getting in a little long as several cars began to line up. Getting out was easy.
We stopped by the Mardi for breakfast. Outside seating and delicious brunch items made for a really delightful breakfast. The wait staff is a little brusque, but not to the point that it impacted our meal. Definitely come back to this hidden gem.
It’s an expensive boutique hotel but they really get all the details right. You’re greeted with a well lit space that’s full and feels more like home than a hotel. The showers are also next level - it feels like a waterfall pouring down on you. Also like the little addition of the pre-mixed cocktails.
Me and my husband stayed at the Palihouse in West Hollywood for a week and it was amazing. The room was amazing and so were the staff, especially Aiden and Silvio. They were very helpful and it was very much appreciated. Thanks again for making it a memorable stay. Carolyn and Adrian Marsh
Beautiful hotel with large spacious rooms. Very trendy and cool. Super friendly staff. There is a little noise from the road but it's not that bad.
The Palihouse West Hollywood is the Best! Gorgeous rooms, stellar service and quick to respond to requests, LOVE the Restaurant! The location is central to all of Los Angeles sites. Super cool and Professional House Master Alex takes hospitality to the next level! Definitely will stay here again!!
The stadd was very friendly and helpful to all my needs ;). The main lobby was straight out of a 60s movie; books on the wall, nice music in the background, and a hipster bartender with a penchet for hotel guests. Overall if give it a 4 star Michelin rating
I love this place! !
My company had an employee appreciate End of summer party for us and it was pretty amazing. The food and the roof top view incredible.
