Even if you don’t, delivering these pastries to a pal is often a win : ) When you go in, don’t be bashful about grabbing a tray and tongs and loading up on the delicious sweet treats found in abundance on the shelves facing Waco. Slices of cake, crumbly cookies, sugared donuts and a variety of pastries are readily available. So many are easily enjoyed with a glass of milk or strong coffee. Each will be carefully packaged for the ride home (if they make it that far) while being rung up. Customized cakes are also available. I don’t know that I will ever be able to forget a hauntingly decadent tres leches con café birthday cake for my wife that continues to pop up in my dreams from time to time. I would expect that should you choose Juarez for your next special event, you would experience the same joy. Every time we have ordered cake, it has been a great experience. Each cake is skillfully decorated for its special occasion. It is a simple joy in and of itself, perusing the cakes that are waiting patiently to be picked up each time that I stop by to load up on pastries and cookies for the family. Retirement and anniversary celebrations made better with vibrant and skillful lettering, birthday parties carefully accented with airbrushed cartoon figures. Juarez also has a surprising selection of snacks, drinks, spices and cooking ingredients available in store as well. Great Mexican bread. Don't go if you are on a diet. You are going love this place. You can smell how good it is from the outside and the staff was very nice.
