I think I would hit anyone that gives a less than 5 review with a half open chocolate milk carton. I’m not sure if it is obsessive to go back again after we went yesterday but I am considering it.
First of all, DO NOT judge the location. There are so many hidden gem restaurants right there and this isn’t an exception. This is a restaurant that has been a few different ones for the past few years but I think this has been the best one. First of all, they are putting nice touches on things that you seem to expect at restaurants. They give you homemade freshly fried pork rinds as soon as you sit down which is a super nice accent to start off your meal. We heard a lot of good rumblings based on the chorizo fries so we decided to start off with these, and I could have ended my meal with those and they would’ve still got five stars from me. Fries are hand cut, which is a lost art these days, and these are topped with chorizo, crema, cheese, tomatoes, and some additional items that made these a must get everytime I go. The menu was varied, with things like chicken salad sandwiches, tacos, to offering paella so the menu wasn’t all over the place but if you come with a picky eater, more than likely they would have something for them. I got one of the name sake dishes with half of the rotisserie chicken and I have no words. It is chargrilled and super flavorful and hefty that it comes with two sides is beyond me. Menu prices were very friendly too so it’s not breaking the bank!
This is absolutely a must try if you like flavor and don’t want to spend a lot and want to discover a place you may frequent into your restaurant arsenal.
One of the best meals I have ever had since I've been in Wilmington. The Empanadas were amazing! It was like eating the crust of the top of a pot pie! So good!!!! I had the chicken and yucca fries and everything was amazing. Loved it!
This is my new favorite restaurant. Everything the other reviews rave about this restaurant is true. Service is great, relaxed environment, fresh food, prices on point and everything I have tried was amazing. This is not your El Cerro style restaurant - there are many different dishes from all over Latin America. Foodies especially, this place is for you!
