Cool place to have a couple of beer with friends. Beers were $55 pesos, which is equivalent to $2.5 USD. Food is great all over the places. Watch out for your belongings and be careful with the ceime.

Very lively square. Authentic Mexican food, live music and festive atmosphere. At least a dozen choices of where to eat in this block long plaza. Very safe patrolled by police continuously.

Visited first time on Friday evening at 630 pm in June. That's too early and the place was just getting set up. Visited again on Saturday night at 8:40 pm. The place was lively. Lots of local families with kids were at the square. The outdoor patios were full with Mariachi bands playing by the tables. The atmosphere was lively and SAFE. Folks visit the place to have drinks (cheaper than other places) and have fun. I left at 9:30 pm and the crowd was still pouring. Nearby mercado San Camilito is a good place to test local food as the locals eat (at local prices) Overall a nice place to visit to see local nightlife.
