Please note that this is NOT a review on the person who was working the counter. It's on the person who wasn't. I had placed an order online, and when I walked in to pick it up, there was a line. I started to look around to see if there was a place to pick up online orders, but before I got to look around, the man behind the counter announced that he was the only one there and that if we had online orders it was going to be a while. I understood, and patiently waited in line. A couple of times the man called out loudly, presumably to someone in the back, that he needed back up, and no one answered. He was clearly, and understandably, flustered, but still gave each customer his undivided attention. When I got to the front of the line, I told him he was doing great and if he needed a second to catch his breath or whatever, I could wait. He declined, and I told him that I had placed an order online but knew he hadn't had a chance to do it, so I hoped me waiting in line gave him a chance to catch up. He then pointed to a shelf along the back wall that was for online order pick up, and sure enough, my order was there before I ever walked in. I was frustrated that I'd waited in line when I didn't need to (only because he specifically said when I walked in that online orders were going to be a bit yet), but I don't blame the man at the counter. Someone was clearly in the back and refused to come to his aid which caused him undue frustration during the lunch rush. He was short with me, and I didn't like that, but I know it wasn't his fault. According to one of my co-workers it's like that every day, so it's not a matter of someone not showing up today. The manager should be up front helping during the rushes if he/she can't find more help. (which I know is a regular problem) I also think there should be a way to turn off online ordering if the shop is short-staffed so that the worker can focus on the person in front of him.
There's another Subway about a mile down the road, and if this shop can't properly staff during the rushes, there's no need to wait in long lines when there's another one that is fully staffed.
Understaffed. One employee was very efficiently working her butt off while training a new employee and filling Uber orders. This location needs to add another employee to the schedule if they plan to continue with Uber orders. Very frustrating to stand waiting a long time.
This is the Best subway around. The owner, Seth keeps his restaurant organized and prepared. He also trains his staff well. They’ve got the art of sandwich building down at this location. I’ve been a customer of this location for a few years.
