My new favorite breakfast spot. We did wait about 30 min to be seated, however, the wait at the table was a little longer. The waitress did inform us they were short staffed and running longer than usual. When food arrived, it was HOT which was a huge plus. Sometimes when you wait long food will come out cold, but that was not the case here. Service was top-notch! Food was delicious! They make the best grits I've ever tasted. French toast was very good along with everything else. The seating outside was covered and perfect since the weather was in the 70s. We will be back soon.
We had a to go order. The servers we very friendly and took our large order. It was ready in about 12 minutes. The pancakes are really fluffy and thick. The grits were really soft and hit the spot. The maple sausages beat any of those Jimmy Dean type breakfast sausage I've had. It gives you a home made breakfast feel. The only negatives are the prices are a tad bit high for what amounts to Breakfast food and the Hollandaise sauce with the eggs Benedict was a bit acidic and thin rather than salty/creamy as it should be.
Most people don't realize this is a diner because it doesn't look like your type standalone diner. It's connected to a building so you might miss it. The inside set up isn't really your typically diner either but I gave it a 4 star because the food was pretty good and they have mimosas/full bar which is something diner usually don't have when you think of the old school diner. My biscuit and gravy which they call "Sausage and Biscuit" was amazing and you can eat on it for 3 days (well I did). They have a drink with Grand Marnier and champagne (can't remember the name) and it was great. Overall, if you want something filling and not trying to spend a lot this is a good stop.
