It's been about a year since I've had the chance to eat real Ramen, so I was excited to try out Bowl Ninety - One on a recent trip to Appleton. The place was packed when we arrived, and it appeared only two servers were working. Despite that, the servers were polite and friendly and very capably taking care of everyone. We waited about half an hour to be seated, and it was well worth the wait! We had Hmong egg rolls and edamame as an appetizer. The egg rolls were fried to perfection with tasty fresh carrots and cabbage, and the edamame was seasoned and steamed well. For our main dishes we ordered spicy miso Ramen, and Thong Katsu (tonkotsu) Ramen. Both were fabulous, with generous portions and a perfect balance of spice and flavor. Everyone was full and happy at the end of our meal, and we'll definitely be coming back!
This is a beautifully minimalist and modern ramen restaurant. The food is fantastic and the staff are so polite! Very clean environment, not a crumb on the floor. Staff was quick to help and answer any questions, and the food arrived a lot faster than I expected. If you're looking for a quick stop for ramen, this is definitely the place to go.
We had to try this after reading reviews. Phenomenal! Hands down best Ramen we've had! Fried Rice 91 was the best we've had too. We ordered Tom Yum Yummy and Spicy Miso Ramen, Happy Belly Buns (snap!) and Hmong Egg rolls (heck yes!). Service was great, ambiance nice and all over presentation great. If anyone has complained, I kind of think they either have no taste buds or they are competition..you need this in your life.
