I visited Fava Tea for the first time today after deciding to make the switch from bagged to loose leaf tea. First of all, the selection is vast. They have every type of tea represented and then some. They also have a great selection of teapots for sale. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the tea you get which is rivaled only by the helpfulness of the staff. This is how customer service is supposed to be done. Penny helped me during my first visit. She answered every question I had and recommended fantastic tasting teas based off of what I told her. Best of all, she wasn't pushy in the slightest and gave me ample time to look through the selection of teas. You get the sense that they exist to provide great quality tea to the Fox Valley first, and think of their profits second. There are samples provided of each type of tea, and get this; they don't add sugar to the samples, and they use the amount of tea that you are directed to use on the package. It was a wonderful experience, and everything I'd want in a tea shop. Highly recommended.
Although I’ve never been into a store I tried a number of Fava teas from their trailer at a festival this weekend. Grade A tea and Grade A people. Worth your time and money
I love the whole experience of this place, and the tea is wonderful! I've been trying to get my kids interested in tea, and all it took was ONE visit, and they're fascinated.
