Came early on a Sunday morning. The place was empty (which is usually not the case). It’s a cute spot, with good food.
The food is delicious, portion size is large & there are plenty of options for everyone. Service was prompt.
The lines can get long and parking can be challenging.
Seems really busy. Greeter is friendly. My waiter seems "Eeyore" like, not too friendly. Parking is shoddy.. I had to walk about 1/2 a block to the restaurant. The loud train didn't help either, but I know they can't help that. Hopefully the food makes up for it. I was in the area for an appointment and decided to stop for a bite to eat. The food did not disappoint. The hashed potatoes were a bit hit and miss with the seasoning but overall, tasted good. The shrimp and grits with pork sausage was very flavorful, plus, it was filling and the focaccia was soft and perfectly toasted. I was not able to finish, so I took the rest to go. I ended up ordering a chicken sandwich with a house salad for my wife. She is raving about the salad. She is not a fan of dressing other than ranch, but she likes it. She loves the sandwich as well. The ambiance was lively with music and lots of people. Somebody at Sun in my Belly is getting it right.
I came for breakfast and enjoyed myself. The weather was perfect so I sat on the covered patio which provided a nice atmosphere.
I ordered the avocado toast and shrimp and grits. The toast was just ok but the shrimp and grits were amazing. The grits were incredibly creamy, and the portion sizes were generous. My server David was quick and attentive. I would definitely dine here again.
Parking is a bit limited, but there are few spaces behind the restaurant.
