This is NOT the old Atwood, which struggled with service and running water during the hotel renovation. This is the Atwood reborn - with elegant food and decor. The food and service are always excellent at the Atwood. I recommend going early evening while the sun is lingering, so that you can take advantage of the giant windows. I usually select a cocktail; the wine is good also. You can choose between cold / hot small plates, or go right for the entrees. Desserts are to die for! As for attire - think theatre-amiable. The restaurant is encased in the lacy ironwork of the Burnham Hotel's lobby, which makes a pretty contrast to the airy restaurant it cradles. Atwood is a recommended visit.
First - our server Mimi was amazing. So knowledgeable about the food and guided us through the menu with great recommendations. Each dish was as good as the next. The salmon is so flavorful! The blood orange sorbet was so refreshing. Their cocktails were also so unique and tasty! Highly recommend this swanky, delicious spot! Perfect before a show or after work.
We stopped in for Sunday Brunch and were treated like gold. The unique menu has a different spin that leaves you wishing you could order numerous different meals. Start with the white chocolate banana bread and sweet potato biscuits paired with a "bloody mimosa" -their house special. Then move onto the bacon toast or farm fresh eggs or the bacon and Brie omelette. Everything was fresh, food was superb and service on point!!
