I was craving a quality, craft chicken sandwich and googled the best one in Columbus which brought me to the Eagle Short North.
I ordered a cocktail, a chicken sandwich, the cornbread, and the max and cheese and it was all absolutely delicious! I’m from the South originally and this really scratched my southern comfort food itch. The cornbread was especially my favorite because it was a great texture and a great salty sweet combo!
Also the service was top notch! I sat at the bar, and Josh was my server/bartender and he was so attentive and kind! I really appreciated his menu recommendations and all of his super funny jokes (he’s a hoot!)
I’m so excited to return in the future!
Can I give the ten stars?!? Man I could go on forever. The atmosphere is always great, the service is great! Smiles and greetings at the front! The takeout is always on point. Sauce is in the bag, food is hot! Tea is sweet and dark like molasses. One of my favorites! Try them out!! You cannot beat this fried chicken sandwich! 🤤 oh and DO NOT forget the hot honey boiii!
My wife, daughter, and I visited this place around 7pm on a Friday night. Parking was difficult to find. We were seated outside as the inside was full. We preferred the outside seating anyway.
Our waitress was prompt and friendly. We started with hush puppies as an appetizer which came out immediately. They were crispy on the outside and soft/ moist in the inside. Sweet with a little kick. Sauce was delicious.
We ordered the full fried chicken ($30) with a side of Mac and cheese ($8) and spoon bread ($7).
The chicken was so delicious. Crispy skin seasoned with such great flavors. Most fried chicken places that serve breasts usually serve dry chicken but even the white meat was juicy.
The Mac n cheese was a big hit with my 9 year old. And the spoon bread was a great sweet complement to the meal.
One of my favorite places in Columbus so far. A must visit.
