I've driven by here for several months and always meant to stop and try. I can only say I don't know why I didn't come here sooner. I ordered the lagan's and a friend the Alfredo—both were absolutely delightful. Perfectly cooked and amazingly seasoned. The staff was on par with the food. From the moment we walked in we weren't customers, we were family. Alex hands down was all about treating us as guests in his house with both his charisma and humour.
I have always enjoyed Bishop Arts Winery, but hadn't eaten at Abruzzo's. Even though we got carry-out, the service was still top notch. Customer service goes a long way with me and you can expect to be treated like family there. As for the food... wow, absolutely delicious! Even the side salad with basil gorgonzola dressing was fresh and crisp. We had the spaghetti marinara with Italian sausage, a side vegetarian spinach ball and the angel hair with roasted garlic, capers and olive oil. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the spices and flavors were excellent!
I love supporting local and this will certainly be a mainstay. Highly recommend - you will not be disappointed!
I went there with some friends from work and it was great! Rick, the owner, is awesome. He makes sure everything is perfect and, if not, he wants to know so he can fix it. He is also full of gold nuggets of wisdom and funny stories! Absolutely delightful!! And the food? Delicious!! Perfectly seasoned and large portions! It's not pre-made either! It comes from the kitchen piping hot and fresh! My favorite part is that if you buy a bottle of wine, which is more economical, they can recork it for you so you can take it home! I can't wait to go back!
