Quick Summary
Really good curry spot that did everything well. Rice, protein, curry, radishes. Everything was solid.
Food- 5 stars
Ordered the tonkatsu and the chicken karage curry bowls. Everything was delicious. Portions were large. The macaroni salad and omelette sides were a good balance to brighten up the meal
Service- 5 stars
Fast casual restaurant where you order up front and get your order delivered to you. Pretty fast service
Bottom Line
Excellent curry spot if you're around the area. Highly recommend!
Love it. Really similar to Japanese Curry I have before, spicy with sweet. Both Tonkatsu and Chicken Karaage taste good, crispy and crunchy. I also like the thickness of Pork Cutlet.
We reached early, so we had ample choice for seating. The place is clean, well lit and inviting. We went over the ordering counter and gave our orders. Our order taker was friendly and efficient and got our orders in quickly.
Within a few minutes of seating ourselves our drinks and food was served. Huge portions was the first thing that came to our mind!
For appetizers we shared the Chicken Katsu Sando and the Curry Splash Ballers that we ordered medium spicy and we found the spice level just perfect!! We all loved both the appetizers that we shared.
For the drink, I ordered the Oolong Tea, a tad sweet, but I loved it... thanks to my sweet tooth. Others took the Jasmine tea and they too seemed to have liked it.
I had the Chicken Katsu Curry Plate while others in the group ordered the Tonkatsu Curry And Ya Ki Chicken Curry plate and we all loved what we ordered!
Beware of the spice levels though that you need to choose when ordering. Our group found mild to be not spicy enough. But the medium was just right for most of us. None of us dared to go higher to Spicy or the "Bomb"
We all left happy after having a great meal which also attractively priced for the portion and quality of the food that they serve!
Some tips
1. Remember they serve a free drink with each curry plate for lunch. So choose one when ordering.
2. Do not forget to get your cutlery and water while you seat yourself from the side counter. There are none at the tables and no one will serve them.
3. Portions are huge, so be ready to take some back. They do give you sturdy boxes for taking leftovers home.
