A nice fine dining experience at a reasonable price for fine dining. The chocolate lava cake is not to be missed! We sat at the chefs table and were served several great dishes — an abalone gnocchi, a coconut/charcoal sous-vide shrimp, and sea bass.
I recommend skipping the cheaper wine pairing. None of the wines were particularly memorable.
The maitre d was excellent. However, our main server, while extremely nice wasn’t well informed about the dishes or the wines.
Everything was outstanding from the moment we stepped into Paris. Hawaii. Service was excellent. We sat at the Chef's Table. The first palette cleanser was to die for. Hawaiian espresso. Oh my, kind of like an espresso soup. Yes, interesting sounding, but works so well together. (You have your choice of wine pairings, or for us non- drinkers, tea pairings, if you so choose. The tea pairing was a very nice surprise. Definitely worth the try. Healthy and surprisingly very earthy and delicious. ) Next came garlic shrimp, then the tako dish, Opah, Maui onion soup, chicken, and last of the main courses, the Big Island Beef dish ❤. I love, love the gastronomical adventure that they presented. The menu changes every few months. The service was like clockwork, perfect. The Chefs Table afforded us the view of every single dish prepared. I can keep on gushing about the food, but it will not do it justice. So I will leave it be. Oh, ...just one last thing. The last tea pairing was a chocolate ( infused?) tea. This, I can just smell all day. The scent was heavenly to say the least. I don't even need to taste it and I'd be happy. Overall, the farm to table concept definitely works here.
Quite a fine dining experience in Waikiki. Prix fixe menu is creative and delicious featuring mostly locally sourced product. Recommend sitting at the counter for the full experience. Service was attentive and friendly. A must for the foodie on Oahu.
