This restaurant has been around 30+ years, same owner, and prices slightly higher than other dim sum or seafood restaurants but the quality, atmosphere, sanitation, decor and service are much better. The owner holds high standards. Though pricey, customers love the dim sum, live seafood, and other traditional popular dishes. We were full and happy and had a good time. Asked the banquet manager and they can house 70 tables!
One of the best dim sum I’ve had in Houston. Seating and service was fast. The service staff was very attentive and dishes came out fast.
I really enjoy eating their shui mai, sesame balls, baked custard lava bread, and shrimp dumplings.
Might be slightly more busy on the weekend but is terrific place for getting lunch on a Friday.
Probably one of the ONLY places left that still push the dim sum carts. The shrimp dumpling skin was a bit dry but everything else was tasty. The prices are so much higher than before, be prepared to spend about $6.95 for a large dim sum dish which is at least a dollar more than most other dim sum places around. We went on a Sunday, 10 minutes after they opened so we didn't have to wait too long.
If you are in town and want to have a unique cultural experience or something different to do, come to Fung's Kitchen. You won't go wrong with solid food, atmosphere and service. It'll be worth the experience and your bellies full. 🙌
