First time here. I got a gyro sandwich with extra meat and onion rings and an iced tea. The staff/owners were friendly and the food came out quick.
Everything looked and tasted good. Fresh onions, lettuce and tomatoe, plenty of meat and soft pita bread. This is close to my office I am sure I will be back.
We came here with my husband for the crawfish. They were live which beats the other places where they boil frozen ones. We ordered 5lbs of crawfish with 3 pounds of GIANT shrimp, corn and potatoes with medium heat. The chef prepared it magically, very nice guy who served us well. The food was delicious, but was even better was the customer service. This is a genuine small business owned by a guy with a heart of gold and it shows how he takes care of his customers, just like family. Great atmosphere. A must stop!
We were so full and about to pop at the end of the food. Just an FYI. You get every Penny's worth. 5+++++ Nick! Thank you.
Finally got a chance to try this place, and it was well worth the wait. It's neat, clean, well run, and Nick himself is a great guy. And it's open for dine in and no masks required.
He's not only nice to customers, but also to his staff, and he jumps in to help them as needed. I watched him cooking shish kabob and a couple of other dishes as well.
My wife's gyros was stuffed full and the pita bread was hot and fresh. And yes, he prepares gyros the way it should be.... on a vertical rotisserie spit. The meat was hot and juicy, the tzatziki sauce had cucumber and dill in it, and my wife said she thinks he makes the sauce on premise.
All for only $7.99. You can also upsize it to a large for $2.00. it's also available as a platter.
As for me, I had two plates. And as a native of Chicago, I was pleasantly surprised. My first choice was the Italian Beef on a Gonnella roll. Tasty, plenty of it, with onions, roasted peppers and giardenera and au jus on the side. Next time I'll have it dipped.
My second choice was a Vienna Beef Polish Sausage. He calls it Chicago Style, when I asked for it the way I know it and how we call it in Chicago, Jewtown Style.
That's the Polish on a poppyseed bun, dressed with mustard, onions and sport peppers.
He also offers Shawarma, Muffuletta, and platters, wings, pizza and a whole lot more.
