Every Thursday for the past year and a half I’ve been having coffee at Bear Buns every Thursday morning as part of my routine in the neighborhood. When I originally walked into Bear Buns it was three years ago when I open my office on Aero Drive. I was looking for good coffee and that was the closest coffee shop. Little did I realize how good the coffee would be. But after walking in there was a giant showcase filled with decadent, beautiful, and extraordinary pastries and desserts. This is my kryptonite. I asked the cashier what is the most popular and they let me know the bagel sandwiches and the bear bun. I soon realized that everything is made to order at this place with love and artists behind each step. I ordered the bagel sandwich with sausage and avocado, and took a bear bun to go. I completely forgot I had came here for the coffee. It’s now been three years and Bear Buns bakery is a weekly activity for me and one of my favorite places in San Diego. As a local realtor and community advocate for 92123 it is my pleasure to be able to patronize this place every Thursday morning at 9am.
