Have you ever been asked "If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?" I've always had trouble answering that question because I'm an equal opportunity food lover, but after eating here? HOLY GUACAMOLE! I don't think I'll ever want to eat at another restaurant again!
Here me loud and clear: YOUR DAYS OF GETTING THE SAME SUB-PAR QUALITY MEXICAN FOOD FROM A MEXICAN FOOD PLACE THAT TASTES JUST LIKE THE OTHERS IS OVER!!!
First and foremost, the pure taste of the food is UNPARALLELED by any other Mexican restaurant in town. I cannot even begin to describe the abundance of flavor and care that this place puts into everything they serve. Starting with the water. That's right, the WATER. The owner and I had a little chat since my fiance and I were the only ones in there at the time and she makes flavored water from scratch every day! Do yourself a favor and be adventurous with it. I tried the pineapple water and it was like candy! What makes it even better? The ingredients were: cucumber, pineapple, kale, spinach and honey! And it tasted AMAZING!
And if that didn't break your Mexican food restaurant stereotypes, then let me throw another one at ya: they don't serve chips and salsa as a starter. I KNOW this may be a deal breaker for some of you but READ ----> Instead of serving chips and salsa (most likely poured out of a giant bulk-sized plastic jug at most Mexican restaurants), they serve a SOUL-SAVING homemade soup as your starter (free with meal purchase, obviously). Mom, please don't read my next sentence. It was better than momma's cooking, y'all.
After you've scarfed down your soup in all but what should be deemed record-breaking time (because, trust me, you'll want to DEVOUR that stuff) you'll turn to beg for more, but BAM! Their angelic powers have already prepared your food to the nines in what seems like minutes! And this. This, my friends, is where we could finally make peace on earth permanent.
You know that moment in a movie where someone takes a bite of something delicious and they close their eyes, heavenly music plays in the background, a soft beam of light comes down from the heavens onto them and God's booming voice (most likely Morgan Freeman) says "I gift unto you this blessing from above." No? Just me? Well I think you'll know exactly what I mean when you take that first bite of your burrito. YOU DON'T KNOW FLAVOR UNTIL YOU'VE EATEN HERE. Every ingredient is married together perfectly in a deliciously formed burrito, smothered in queso and served on a golden platter.
If you don't know how much of a positive difference love and passion can make when preparing food, then you need to eat here. If you do know that and need a break from your stereotypical, sub-par, they-all-look-and-taste-the-same Mexican restaurants. Eat here. If you want to explore a new place in town, eat here. If you're hungry - for the love of all that is right in this world - EAT. HERE.
brb... going to go get some more burritos.
Awesome burritos every time I've been and real friendly staff. The soup thing is... Unique, but it's always good at least! Highly recommended.
I love... LOVE this place!
I sat down at my table and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. I looked over the menu and I ordered three tacos carne asada. (I wished I had ordered more!)
They brought me a soup instead of the typical chips and salsa and I'm glad they did. The soup was delicious and I didn't worry about stuffing myself with chips and salsa!
My tacos carne asada arrived at my table and I immediately took a couple of bites before snapping my picture, (I was hungry and it smelled incredible!)
The food is great! Reasonably priced and the staff is very friendly!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
