Braised Rabbit special, appetizer, salad, Belgian Chocolate Tart & Coffee, pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the place has just been sold and will close 12/31/19 after over sixty years in business. It will be turned into a comedy club. If you want to experience true fine dining, don't wait!
You've got to temper your expectations from other restaurants in similar price ranges when you come here. The French dining experience is relaxed, designed to let you savor the meal and enjoy conversation. Each time I've come here, I've been able to do exactly that. Superb food, excellent wine selection, and a really nice intimate atmosphere.
My girlfriend and I have eaten three times at Le Petit Chateau and loved it each and every time. The service is great - The servers are warm and friendly, and take the time to answer your questions. The food is fantastic - We eat out a lot, and though I wouldn't call us foodies by any stretch (I could care less which farm "sourced" my meat so long as it's tasty), I don't think I've ever had a better cassoulet. And the prices are quite reasonable, especially for the quality of food you get.
Plus, the place looks like a little castle. Just for that, it gets five stars!
