My husband and I tried City Cafe for the first time yesterday morning. We wanted something authentic that wasn’t a chain and that’s what we got. From the atmosphere on the Square during the set up of the Farmers’ Market to the moment we settled the check, we had a friendly, welcoming hometown experience. He had the French toast, bacon and eggs and I had bacon, eggs and biscuits, with their delicious sawmill gravy. Every bite was divine. We decided to splurge and topped off the breakfast by splitting one of their homemade cinnamon rolls, which was nothing short of amazing. It was a busy Saturday morning and we had to be patient, but our patience was rewarded with great food and good service. We didn’t have our kids with us, but we chatted during breakfast about how they would enjoy it, too, and how we’d have to make City Cafe a staple for our family. We will be back soon, early on a Saturday morning, to enjoy a delicious breakfast with that small town Southern charm we found yesterday. We will take time to check out the wonderful Farmers’ Market, as well. The whole experience was worthy of five stars.
The food tastes like it was made with love Very friendly and attentive staff. I highly recommend City Cafe!
I’ve been to CityCafe for breakfast twice now and both have been great experiences. The food was wonderful and the prices are amazing! It’s a very casual, small town feel and the servers went above and beyond to be helpful. Will bring the family next time!😊🙌🏼🍳🥓
