Food here was great! I had the soup of the day which comes with salad and avocado toast. Exactly what I needed after a full day of shopping. Was great value for money and even though simple really tasty.
Unfortunately I rate a 3.5 because the service was quite poor. This place is table service, but you wouldn't know as the waiter was extremely slow and constantly forgot our water and took quite a while to take our order.. We had to call him over several times.
Would recommend, but don't come here for a quick lunch, as it may take a while.
Quite a few gluten free and vegan options available too :)
I was walking by and had a sweet tooth and their French Cream Donuts in the window have an irresistible look to them. I have to admit they are very good. I’d get them again.
The space was nice, but the tables clearly hadn’t been wiped down recently. I never saw one wiped in the 20 minutes I was in there. Pastries are served on paper plates rather than dishware.
The service was disorganized. The guy behind the counter was confused and had to ask for help a couple of times. It also moved slow.
I’d go back for a donut though.
La Pain Quotidien, a French bakery located at SE corner 3rd Avenue and E 44 street. A good place for a quick coffee and some French little experience. Prices are, well, again New York, nothing is cheap here if you are under air conditioned indoors… overall worthy.
