My friend took me there and told me they got best karaage (Japanese fried chicken) and he was not wrong! Wow their chicken was big and tasty. Other items were very good too. Not only the food was great, but the service was very good too. Even tho we got in 10min their closing time, they were very accommodating and never complained or rushed us. Totally worth visiting.
An authentic Japanese restaurant, located in mid town Manhattan.
The menu is not large and complicated, the food is excellent and served with impressive aesthetics and precision.
Ww loved the pleasant atmosphere and the service that was very friendly and professional.
We enjoyed every bite and highly recommend.
Came to this Izakaya for a similar dish that made my trip to Takayama, Japan 5 years ago exceedingly memorable - Hida beef grilled on Magnolia leaf served table side. Very disappointed when I found out that this dish subbed with Berkshire pork belly has been taken off the menu. Well, we managed to enjoy the evening, nonetheless. The unagi don was superbly dressed with flavorful golden egg specks. The Karaage was one of the best I have ever tasted- tender, moist inside, delicate crusty & well seasoned outside. The only thing I was underwhelmed by was the black cod which in my opinion was slightly rubbery.
