Casual dining spot/bar conveniently located at Penn Station so that you can grab a bite or quick drink ahead of your scheduled travel time. My friend and I came here for appetizers and cocktails before I had to catch my train.
We were seated at one of the mini tables for two and when we asked for a booth, the server denied our request. Then after she accidentally spilled one of our drinks on our table, we asked again politely to be seated at the empty booth across from us, and we had to get three rounds of approvals before they finally gave in. This is the reason for knocking off a star.
For appetizers, we ordered the vegetarian nachos and mozzarella sticks. Everything tasted fine and the food came out pretty quickly. For drinks, we ordered a gin fizz and a Manhattan. Both were sufficiently strong and not too sweet.
The atmosphere is very chill and the Christmas decorations added a nice touch but the music is just too loud for my taste.
Big plus is that their restrooms are immaculate—the cleanest I’ve seen at a NY sports bar.
All in all, I recommend coming to this restaurant if you have a reason to be waiting at Penn Station, for the speedy service, decent food and drinks.
Solid spot to stop by before a game or taking the amtrak. We came during happy hour which ends at 6 but 5 when there is a game. Me and a friend had a drink and shared the appetizer sampler. It was tasty. Our host was super sweet and she was highkey a vibe. I feel like she gets me lol
There is only one of these joints in Penn Station - a bar - where you can nurse a cold lager before your train, killing time with other strangers loose on the town and maybe lost. But the bartender is sweet and everyone is quietly friendly, and the draft pint is unmistakably cold and the counter is clean and swift for anyone paying cash. The sips go by slow until your time is up, and you spill back out into the too-bright light full of wishes and smiles for the thoughts you forgot in the darkest spot in midtown.
