I was a little cautious about this place at first because of some reviews and because of its location next to Wall Street. I thought folks may have skewed reviews about what good sushi is. The reviews are right, this place is very good. I ordered the King Crab dumplings to start out which are served in the steam basket. They were delicious! You get to really just taste the sweet crab.
For my main course I had the sushi sashimi combo. Every single piece of fish was very fresh! Each one! The sashimi melted like butter! It also comes with an eel/cucumber hand roll. Best eel I've had, hands down! Couldn't believe how good it was.
The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because of the lighting. I like to see what I am eating and in my opinion, this place is a tad to dim for me. It would be great for a romantic date though! Atmosphere is chill and the wait staff are attentive and what I really liked is that they helped one another out to look out for one another. I would come here again.
Second trip here. Great atmosphere. Had the sushi, salmon teriyaki and miso soup and all were great. Only gripe was 1st visit was told “can only seat you at bar or sushi bar” which was fine, but 8 tables remained empty throughout our stay. 2nd visit we made reservations, but weren’t even asked for them— were led straight to a table. Despite those minor quirks, food and experience is recommended. Though you may (or may not!) need reservations...
We had a nice lunch experience. The place was very busy. Service was good. Everything was fresh and portions were nicely sized. I will definitely go back next time I am in the area.
